About the role
Mediclinic is seeking a reliable Porter/Driver to support hospital operations by transporting patients, equipment, and documents safely between departments. The role is essential for maintaining high standards of care and ensuring smooth logistical flow within the facility.
Key responsibilities
- Transport and escort patients safely to predetermined locations.
- Assist with evacuations during emergency situations.
- Perform driver duties as requested, following hospital guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold Mediclinic values.
Required profile
- Minimum education: Grade 10.
- Experience in client services or public interaction.
- Preferred experience in healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in English (read, speak, write).
Required skills
- Valid driver’s licence with PDP certification.
- Operation of two‑way radio systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of kinetic handling principles.
- Understanding of medico‑legal risks and health‑and‑safety regulations.
- Familiarity with internal emergency evacuation plans and administrative tasks.
