Head of Workforce Reporting

About the role

Liberty is recruiting a Head of Workforce Reporting in Johannesburg, a senior leadership position at the intersection of Human Resources and business intelligence. The role moves the organisation away from legacy, descriptive reporting toward an integrated, proactive intelligence model, using advanced analytical platforms and emerging AI technologies to turn workforce data into commercial decisions. It acts as a strategic partner to business unit heads and the People & Culture division.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of the reporting function so that workforce intelligence is predictive and decision-oriented.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to frame workforce solutions through evidence-based analysis.
• Transform analytical methodologies and promote self-service models to broaden data access across the business.
• Provide analysis on workforce composition, talent mobility, succession planning and skills development.
• Set standards for data integrity and storytelling so insights are accurately communicated to all stakeholders.
• Identify automation opportunities and streamline reporting workflows to speed up decision support.

Required profile

• 8 to 10 years of experience in people analytics, HR intelligence or business intelligence, with a history of moving reporting from reactive to proactive.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Proven ability to challenge assumptions, influence senior decision-makers and explain complex insights to non-technical leaders.

Required skills

• Advanced data manipulation and interpretation.
• Strong understanding of P&C policies and workforce planning methodologies.
