Head of Digital – Lead Agency’s Digital Department

About the role

The Head of Digital will lead a team of around 12 specialists within a media agency, shaping the strategic direction, performance and growth of all digital client accounts. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on expertise to ensure campaigns deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital and paid‑media strategies across the agency’s client portfolio to achieve ROI targets.
• Set up, manage, optimise and report on campaigns on major platforms, maintaining platform performance.
• Oversee platform administration, account structures, tracking implementation and technical requirements.
• Manage billing, account reconciliations, project profitability and resource allocation for the digital department.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, scopes of work and presentations for new and existing clients.
• Drive business‑development initiatives, participate in new‑business meetings and lead pitch presentations.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in digital marketing.
• 3‑5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
• Proven track record managing large client portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and stakeholder management.
