Head Internal Audit - Technology

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Head Internal Audit - Technology to lead and review the audit process for multiple portfolios and areas of specialty, in line with the Group Internal Audit strategy. The role provides independent and objective assurance and advice within a segment or area of expertise, ensuring sustainable, client-centred management of risk across the bank.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree or degree in IT, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 10 years of proven experience in project and programme management, leading multiple audit and advisory projects across the organisation.
• Experience building partnerships and engaging with senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Experience auditing technology infrastructure and security.
• Experience in audit firms, financial services (banking/insurance) or telecommunications.
• Experience building and leading large teams and change management.

Required skills

• Understanding of IT general and application controls and analysis of complex data to identify trends.
• Learning and use of AI in auditing.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC or CCAK, and ISACA membership or equivalent.
• Management and leadership programmes and financial services strategy programmes.
