Handyman

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Handyman to join our hotel team, ensuring that all maintenance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. The role involves a variety of general repair and upkeep tasks across the property, supporting a high standard of guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests logged during shifts and via verbal instructions.
• Perform routine inspections and upkeep of security systems, pools, grounds, hotel rooms and other areas.
• Carry out general DIY tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.
• Collaborate with other staff members to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Maintain a clean, safe and presentable work environment.

Required profile

• Matric (high school) qualification.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on handyman or maintenance experience.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems independently.
• Strong communication skills with staff and guests.
• Honest, trustworthy and detail‑oriented.
• Presentable and well‑spoken.
