Group Tax Specialist – Middle East Africa & Asia

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Tax Specialist to support tax activities across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The role involves ensuring compliance with regional and international tax regulations, managing tax risks, and contributing to tax planning and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other regional tax returns.
• Calculate tax provisions, deferred tax and adjust accruals for financial reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Maintain accurate documentation for filings and audits, and identify potential tax risks.
• Collaborate with the Group Tax Manager on risk mitigation strategies and support tax audits.
• Assist in VAT/GST optimisation, indirect tax process improvement and respond to tax authority queries.
• Provide technical tax support for projects, transactions and initiatives.
• Support implementation of tax technology solutions and ensure entities follow group tax policies.
• Review inter‑company agreements and prepare CFC tax returns.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tax team within a large multinational organisation.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and CFC reporting.
• Proficiency with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, dynamic environment.
