Group Executive: Human Resources

About the role

Senwes is seeking a strategic and experienced Group Executive: Human Resources to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Senwes Group people strategy. The role provides executive leadership across all HR functions, aligns people practices with business objectives and drives performance, talent sustainability, culture and governance. It acts as the main link to the Remuneration Committee (REMCO) on remuneration, succession planning, leadership development and people governance. The position is permanent, based in the Head Office in Klerksdorp.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the group-wide people strategy
• Handle people planning, talent management and workforce sustainability
• Manage the HR budget and financial aspects
• Oversee people-related corporate governance and compliance
• Review and approve people-related communications so they are consistent across the Group
• Drive competitive remuneration, benefits and reward programmes
• Lead the Human Resources function and manage stakeholder relationships and corporate culture
• Deliver HR services with operational excellence
• Support employment equity and transformation
• Develop HR policies and advise the REMCO

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or equivalent; postgraduate qualification in a related field is advantageous
• Minimum 10 years' experience as an HR Generalist; management and executive leadership experience preferred
• Experience in remuneration, organisational development, talent management and strategic workforce planning
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and corporate governance
• Experience in a complex, multi-business environment is advantageous
