Graduate Internship – Health Science – Stipend up to R9,861 per month

About the role

The Western Cape Government Health and Wellness initiative offers a graduate internship programme for qualified youth to gain practical experience in health science colleges. The contract runs until 31 March 2027 and participants will be placed in various public health facilities across the Western Cape. Successful interns will receive a monthly stipend and will be expected to attend interviews, competency assessments and provide certified documentation as part of the selection process.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal relations with colleagues and the public.
• Computer competency skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team.
• Age between 18 and 35 years.
• Proof of a qualification document (NQF level 6‑9).
• Access to the internet to complete the online application.
• Certified copies of ID, qualification and, where applicable, driver’s licence to be presented at interview.

What we offer

• Stipend ranging from R8,174.75 to R9,861.50 per month, depending on qualification level (NQF 6‑9).
• Placement in public health facilities across the Western Cape, providing valuable work experience.
