About the role

AFGRI is offering an 18‑month Graduate Internship in its Grain Management Department, based in Centurion, Gauteng. The programme starts on 1 February 2027 and provides recent graduates with hands‑on experience across the grain value chain, from production to commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in grain management activities, including inventory monitoring and silo operations.
  • Support analysis of agricultural markets and commercial performance.
  • Contribute to risk‑management and hedging strategies for grain commodities.
  • Participate in grain logistics planning and coordination.

Required profile

  • Completed NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic performance in quantitative, economic or financial subjects.
  • Computer literate with practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Valid driver’s licence (or ability to obtain one before the programme starts).
