About the role

AFGRI is offering an 18‑month Graduate Internship Programme starting 1 February 2027 in its Grain Management Department in Centurion, South Africa. The programme is designed for recent South African graduates who want hands‑on experience in agriculture, commodity markets and commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support grain management operations and logistics.
• Analyse agricultural markets and commodity price trends.
• Assist with commercial analysis and risk‑management activities.
• Participate in grain logistics and supply‑chain coordination.
• Contribute to commodity‑market research and reporting.
• Engage with the broader grain value‑chain projects.

Required profile

• Completed NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• Strong academic performance in quantitative, economic or financial subjects.
• Valid driver’s licence or ability to obtain one before programme start.
• Analytical mindset with interest in agricultural markets and commercial decision‑making.

Required skills

• Practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• General computer literacy.
