German-Speaking PPC / SEM Specialist Traineeship

About the role

Webrepublic, a Swiss digital agency with a South African subsidiary, is looking for a German-speaking Digital Marketing Trainee to join its Performance Marketing team in Cape Town. This 6-month programme gives intensive, hands-on experience in Search Engine Advertising (SEA) and other performance marketing areas, with the aim of becoming independent in managing campaigns and client relationships and eventually moving into a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and optimise Google Ads and performance marketing campaigns
• Carry out keyword research and write high-converting ad copy
• Analyse performance data to find growth opportunities and improve campaign efficiency
• Help develop data-driven digital marketing strategies for real-world global clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients
• Work cross-functionally with teams in Zurich and Cape Town

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 1-2 years of experience in any field, with an interest in marketing, business or data-driven environments
• Fluent written and spoken English and German, with excellent communication skills
• Valid RSA ID or legal right to work in South Africa
