General Worker – Divider Cleaner

About the role

This position is focused on maintaining the performance and safety of divider equipment in a fast‑paced food production environment. The successful candidate will work on a hot, noisy factory floor, often outside normal hours, to ensure dividers are clean, lubricated and operating correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Clean dividers according to supplier recommendations.
• Lubricate dividers and verify that all oil ports are open and delivering oil.
• Start dividers, perform daily inspections and report any damage to the shift foreman.
• Assist with divider change‑overs and record standard deviation of dough pieces.
• Carry out weekly and monthly lubrication schedules.
• Support artisans in the make‑up area as needed.
• Work overtime and after‑hours when required.

Required profile

• Matric (high school) qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a production factory.
• Ability to work in a hot, noisy environment and handle heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Divider cleaning and lubrication.
• Basic welding, grinding and painting (advantageous).
• Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Understanding of food safety and health‑and‑safety regulations.
