About the role

The Municipality is seeking a senior professional to lead its Special Projects portfolio on a three‑year fixed‑term basis. The role involves strategic oversight of grant‑funded initiatives and ensuring their successful delivery within the Human Settlements directorate.

Key responsibilities

Strategically manage special projects and coordinate Schedule 4B grant activities.
Monitor project costs, progress and ensure alignment with budgets.
Oversee contract administration and prepare revenue and capital estimates.
Develop and submit Schedule 4B grant business plans to the National Department of Human Settlements.
Plan implementation of grant‑funded projects, aligning cash flows with project budgets.

Required profile

BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering or Building Sciences with eligibility for professional registration.
Valid Code B/EB driver’s licence and computer literacy.
At least ten years of relevant experience, with seven years at management or project‑management level, preferably in local government.
