Front End Mobile App Developer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Front End Mobile App Developer to join a client product team in Johannesburg. You will own the delivery of both web and mobile interfaces, turning AI‑backed concepts into responsive, production‑ready experiences that users interact with daily.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end front‑end delivery for ReactJS web apps and React Native mobile apps, from design handoff to app‑store release.
• Build and maintain production‑grade React Native applications for iOS and Android, handling navigation, deep links, push notifications, offline states and performance optimisation on mid‑range devices and spotty networks.
• Develop responsive, accessible ReactJS interfaces that share logic and design language with the mobile product.
• Integrate AI‑driven features, managing streaming responses, loading states and graceful fallbacks.
• Collaborate directly with Node.js and Python back‑end services, making small changes without lengthy hand‑offs.
• Maintain release pipelines, crash reporting and a disciplined cadence of small, frequent shipments.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional comfortable working end‑to‑end without junior or offshore support.
• Hybrid work arrangement: part of the week on‑site in Johannesburg, the rest remote.
• Strong sense of ownership, clean code practices and clear communication.
