About the role
Transnet company is seeking permanent forklift operators and general workers for its Mabopane facility. Candidates with a Grade 10 (or Level 2) education who are physically fit and safety‑conscious are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Open and close twist locks on container wagons.
- Clean buildings and containers.
- Perform general machine operating tasks.
- Carry out office and security duties as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the terminal area.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations.
- Support safety inspections and reporting.
Required profile
- Grade 10 or Level 2 education.
- Physically fit and safety‑conscious.
- People‑oriented with cultural awareness.
- Good time‑management, decision‑making and communication abilities.
- Ability to read and write effectively.
- Team player who works well with others.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
