Food & Beverage Creative Waiter

About the role

The Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a Food & Beverage Creative (Waiter) to join its team in Cape Town. The role brings a refined level of hospitality and a customer-centred approach to the dining experience, supporting the smooth running of the food and beverage department and helping achieve departmental plans and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the food and beverage department, delivering the guest service experience to the highest standard
• Work as part of a team that maximises guest satisfaction and responds positively and on time to guest enquiries
• Take responsibility for assigned duties and complete them in a timely and professional way
• Deliver on departmental plans and objectives, including hotel initiatives and targets
• Work closely with the immediate supervisor to control costs and inventory and attain productivity and performance levels
• Maintain effective working relationships and promote the company culture and values
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and best practice, so that due diligence requirements can be audited internally and externally, with follow-up as needed

Required profile

• Experience in food and beverage service is beneficial but not essential
• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
• Passion for hospitality and exceptional guest service
• Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence

Required skills

• Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
• Strong communication skills
