Finished Goods Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The Finished Goods Quality Control Specialist oversees the finished‑goods laboratory and ensures timely release of spice and chemical blends. The role represents Quality Control in production areas, monitors compliance with GMP and FSSC22000, and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the finished‑goods laboratory and QC staff, ensuring efficient work and accurate testing of products and raw materials.
• Release manufactured blends after confirming analytical, organoleptic and label compliance.
• Generate NCRs or action reports for non‑conforming batches and conduct root‑cause analyses with the QC Online Team.
• Perform internal audits, investigations of production errors, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and monitor WIP job cards in SYSPRO, ensuring timely release and closure.
• Oversee packing‑process checks such as cleaning, metal detection, weight verification, seal integrity and label accuracy.
• Order laboratory consumables, obtain quotes for new equipment, and arrange calibration per FSSC22000 requirements.
• Compile KPI reports, manage certificates of analysis and retain control samples for new product launches.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a QC laboratory in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FSSC22000 standards and internal audit procedures.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, generate NCRs and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with electronic tracking systems.
