Financial Manager – Mining Industry

About the role

Join a leading mining organisation in Centurion as the Financial Manager. You will own the financial performance of the business, lead the finance function and work closely with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate forecasting activities to support business planning.
• Manage the full accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and executive financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital while optimising debtors, creditors and inventory.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support commercial decision‑making.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve performance and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax legislation and financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting processes and operational efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Commercially minded professional with strong strategic orientation.
• Proven experience in finance management, reporting, budgeting and business partnering within a large organisation.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to business strategy.
