Financial Manager – Hospital Group (Durban)

About the role

The Financial Manager will provide financial and operational support for a hospital group, overseeing central payment accounts and accounting functions while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely financial and management analysis and reporting.
• Analyse balance‑sheet reconciliations, cost structures and benchmarking results.
• Prepare management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse and report on budget variances.
• Evaluate operational and financial reports to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Review and standardise financial processes across the division.
• Process and review general ledgers and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure VAT compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant 3‑year BCom degree or diploma (NQF level 6) – CA qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years financial management experience.
• Experience preparing daily financial progress reports and drafting financial statements.
• Experience handling VAT and income‑tax matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
