Replication Administrator – Fund Services

About the role

The Replication Administrator provides an independent check on primary fund administrators, ensuring data integrity and meeting client service level agreements for a portfolio of funds. The role is central to daily, weekly and monthly processing, client reporting and fund onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Daily processing of third‑party trade and cash files, validating ASISA and non‑ASISA formats and ensuring timely capture of transactions.
• Investigating and resolving breaks, pricing exceptions and reconciliation discrepancies between the replicated book and source data.
• Independent NAV striking for allocated funds, applying appropriate valuation policies, pricing sources and corporate actions.
• Calculating and processing management, performance, trustee and other fee accruals accurately.
• Preparing and self‑reviewing trial balances and valuation working papers ahead of client deadlines.
• Producing client‑specific reporting packs and responding to client and third‑party queries on valuations and fees.
• Supporting onboarding of new local and offshore funds onto the replication platform and contributing to system change testing.

Required profile

• At least 2 years’ experience in fund or hedge‑fund administration, fund accounting or investment operations.
• Relevant tertiary qualification such as B.Com, Finance or Accounting (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and ability to manage multiple funds and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication for client‑facing reporting.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ASISA reporting standards.
• Experience with fund accounting or portfolio management systems.
• Proficiency in handling varied data file formats and performing NAV calculations.
