Financial Adviser – Durban, Umhlanga & Surrounding Areas

About the role

The Financial Adviser will provide new and existing clients with professional, relevant financial advice, planning and product solutions that meet their individual needs. You will build and sustain long‑term relationships, generate sustainable business and operate in a fully compliant and ethical manner.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive financial needs analysis, advice and product recommendations, ensuring all disclosures and compliance requirements are met.
• Generate new business through networking, prospecting, lead generation and marketing activities while meeting revenue and activity targets.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships, providing ongoing service, portfolio reviews and responding to client events such as maturities or cancellations.
• Document client interactions, update records and report on contacts, appointments, revenue against targets on a weekly/monthly basis.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification and successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and Regulatory Examination (or 24 months registration with the FSCA).
• Strong knowledge of financial advice, planning, compliance, risk management and client relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve production targets, budgeting and revenue generation.
• Effective communication, tech‑savvy, action‑oriented and persuasive interpersonal skills.
