Financial Accountant – Remote or Onsite Opportunities

About the role

Kula is connecting finance professionals with European employers. We are looking for Financial Accountants who are completing their articles, recently qualified, or already working in accounting and finance, and who are ready to take on broader commercial and reporting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations, journals and accruals.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and internal reporting packs.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes as required.
• Assist with cash‑flow reporting, working‑capital management and tax/VAT/payroll compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Improve finance processes, controls and reporting accuracy.
• Support senior finance leaders with analysis and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Currently completing SAICA, CIMA or SAIPA articles, or recently qualified (CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA, AGA(SA) or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting, finance, audit or commercial finance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations and accounting principles.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs or related reporting frameworks.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage recurring finance cycles.
