Financial Accountant – Lanseria, Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Financial Accountant to join a well‑established business in Lanseria, Gauteng. The role operates in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment where accuracy, discipline, and financial control are essential to operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Process and match supplier invoices to purchase orders and GRNs using the ERP system.
• Perform credit release sign‑offs, credit checks and follow‑up with suppliers on invoices, statements and queries.
• Reconcile clearing agents’ accounts and manage credit‑card transaction reconciliations.
• Handle debit orders, invoicing, payment processing and maintain the fixed‑asset register with monthly depreciation journals.
• Reconcile key general‑ledger accounts, including GRN suspense accounts and inventory movements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensure compliance, and process foreign receipts and invoices.
• Release inventory receipts and issues on the ERP system and post general‑ledger journals.

Required profile

• Finance or Accounting qualification (SAIPA / SAICA articles).
• 2–4 years of experience in a financial accountant or operational accounting role.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, stock management and operational finance processes.
• Own reliable transport to Lanseria offices and willingness to work 07:00–17:00 (Mon‑Fri) and occasional Saturdays.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work methodically in a high‑volume setting.
