Financial Accountant – Lanseria

About the role

Our client in Lanseria is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The role involves managing key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including VAT, fixed assets, inventory and supplier accounts.
• Process foreign transactions and handle import documentation.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Utilise the ERP accounting system for day‑to‑day bookkeeping and month‑end close.
• Support internal and external audits as required.

Required profile

• Matric with Mathematics (minimum C) and a relevant accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, both spoken and written.
• Own reliable transport to the Lanseria office.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday 07:00‑17:00 and occasional Saturdays 09:00‑13:00.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP accounting system.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory and supplier accounts.
• Experience with foreign transactions and import documentation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
