Financial Accountant

About the role

A National Logistics Company in Kempton Park is looking to hire a Financial Accountant on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The role provides expertise and advice to support operational implementation plans and the associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end fixed asset management
• Prepare the FCCS Reporting Pack
• Maintain the general ledger and sub-ledgers
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and/or process journal entries
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
• Review supplier reconciliations and analyse monthly management accounts
• Handle ad-hoc financial requests from management
• Manage and develop employees within a work team

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in Accounting or CA(SA) designation
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of taxation legislation, IAS Standards, IFRS and the Companies Act
• Knowledge of company financial systems and procedures and VAT requirements
• Understanding of financial reports, customer and supplier information
• Computer literacy
