Maintenance Rate Analyst / Specialist

About the role

Avis Budget Rental & Leasing is looking for a Maintenance Rate Analyst / Specialist in Kempton Park, Gauteng, on a permanent basis. The role sits within the Technical and Pricing Solutions team and covers the maintenance rates for the fleet, working closely with OEMs and internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and review risks associated with vehicle maintenance rates, deviations and maximum parameters
• Support the Senior Manager: Technical and Pricing Solutions in reviewing and presenting rate tables to stakeholders
• Maintain the Fleet Management system's maintenance data tables and create maintenance rates using the in-house MRT system
• Improve analysis and forecasting methods and keep up with the latest analytics techniques
• Review non-performing maintenance rate tables and compile maintenance analysis reports
• Work with OEMs to use the latest maintenance schedules and warranty information in rate calculations, and build strong relationships with OEM management
• Liaise with internal customers such as sales, MAU, customer admin and the BI team

Required profile

• Grade 12 and a driver's licence
• Degree in Statistics, Informatics or Analytics (a business qualification in analytics/informatics is advantageous)
• Minimum 3-5 years in an analysis role
• Experience in the fleet industry
• Broad understanding of influencing and presenting to senior management teams (advantageous)
• Honesty and integrity, as the role involves access to company assets, cash handling and confidential records; a formal background check is required
