Service Consultant - Banking

About the role

Nedbank is looking for a Service Consultant for its Sales and Service division in Kempton Park, Gauteng. The role sits in the Client Service career stream and supports clients through traditional channels, online platforms and self-service devices. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Educate clients on online banking functionality and help with application downloads and login queries
• Process deposits and withdrawals and manage cash replenishment
• Perform first-line maintenance of banking and self-service devices and keep accurate transaction records
• Identify client needs, resolve routine service issues and refer matters to the right departments
• Ensure all transactions follow Nedbank's security, risk management and operational procedures
• Welcome clients, verify documents, keep clients informed on the status of requests and escalate matters outside your authority
• Prioritise clients with special needs and help maintain an orderly service environment

Required profile

• Diploma; a qualification in Banking Services (e.g. Higher Certificate in Banking Services at NQF Level 5) is preferred
• One to two years of experience in retail or banking client service, cash handling, technology support or first-line problem resolution
• Experience in foreign exchange services may be relevant
• Strong communication skills, numerical accuracy, adaptability and problem-solving ability
