Finance Manager – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute and hands‑on Finance Manager to lead the finance function within the shipping and logistics sector. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own financial strategy, reporting and operational excellence across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and variance analysis.
• Drive profitability and revenue analysis to support commercial decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, SARS, CIPC and all statutory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes and efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience within shipping, maritime, freight forwarding, logistics or related industries is highly advantageous.
