Finance Manager – Remote (UK Business Hours)

About the role

Remote Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to support its UK‑based clients. This fully remote role is designed for South African professionals and operates on UK business hours, offering the chance to work with leading UK employers from home.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and variance analyses.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and support quarterly re‑forecasting cycles.
• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, tax obligations and internal controls.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial planning, investment decisions and cost management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance management or financial controller experience.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CA(SA)).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP and VAT reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or NetSuite.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
