Finance Consultant

About the role

Our client, an established IT‑focused organisation, is seeking a Finance Consultant to drive the transformation of its finance function. You will combine solid accounting expertise with a passion for technology, leveraging cloud‑based platforms, automation and AI to enhance reporting, controls and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial reports and management information.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Identify and implement process improvements using technology, automation and AI‑driven solutions.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Optimise and maintain finance systems and processes.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within the IT industry.
• Previous management or team‑leadership experience.
• Proven track record of strengthening financial controls and improving finance processes.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of technology, automation and artificial intelligence in finance.
• Experience with cloud‑based accounting platforms.

What we offer
