Senior Credit Vetting Officer

About the role

The Senior Credit Vetting Officer will lead a team of credit vetting professionals, ensuring that all credit applications are assessed efficiently and in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and organise the workflow of the credit vetting team to deliver timely, high‑quality credit decisions.
• Evaluate credit applications, verify documentation and ensure thorough assessment before submission to the credit committee.
• Monitor the credit vetting process, identify improvement areas and implement changes with the Head of Department.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal standards.
• Liaise with sales, customer service and other departments to align credit decisions with business goals.
• Provide regular performance reports to the Credit Manager and maintain accurate, secure records of all applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit vetting.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of credit policies and relevant regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities.
