Finance Administration – Youth Employment Stipend

About the role

This is a 12‑month Finance Administration position aimed at South African youth. You will manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding balances, collect overdue payments and assess credit risk to keep the company’s cash flow healthy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances.
• Contact customers about overdue invoices via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and allocate payments accurately.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assess new credit applications and recommend credit limits.
• Review existing credit limits and payment history.
• Prepare weekly and monthly debtor age analysis reports.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications.
• Escalate unresolved accounts for legal action or debt collection.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve queries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial reporting, invoice distribution, bank transaction allocation and debit order runs.

Required profile

• South African unemployed youth, 18‑34 years old, who have not participated in the YES programme before.
• Matric qualification; Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional, ethical, reliable and able to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage accounting system.
