Field Service Technician – S3 (Mining Equipment)

About the role

As a Field Service Technician – S3 you will ensure customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning Sandvik crushing and screening equipment on mine sites and remote locations. You will apply problem‑solving techniques to diagnose operational issues and deliver technical support both on‑site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs, fault finding and component replacement on cone crushers, jaw crushers, screens and feeders.
• Conduct planned maintenance, inspections, condition assessments and equipment commissioning.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation and root‑cause investigations.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support, including training of operators and maintenance personnel.
• Assist customers with maintenance planning, parts identification and best‑practice recommendations.
• Maintain high safety standards and comply with mine and company regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified N6 Millwright, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent trade qualification.
• Valid clean driver’s licence and ability to obtain medical fitness certification for mine sites.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with crushing equipment (cone, jaw, screens, feeders) and preferably with Sandvik product ranges (CH, CS, CJ, QA, QE, QJ).
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, lubrication and control systems, including PLCs.
• Ability to read schematic drawings and technical manuals.
