Field Service Technician – Kwa-Zulu Natal

About the role

Arjo is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide high‑quality technical support for its medical equipment across the coastal region of Kwa‑Zulu Natal and neighboring provinces. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment while building strong relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Arjo equipment to restore full functionality.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and honor service level agreements.
• Complete warranty repairs, generate inspection reports and execute field actions required by the Quality team.
• Deliver in‑service training and product education to customers.
• Promote extended warranties, service contracts and preventative maintenance plans.
• Achieve sales targets for spare parts and service contracts, follow up on quotes and service offers.
• Plan and schedule call‑outs, manage back‑orders and maintain accurate job cards.
• Control stock for repairs, keep the company vehicle in good condition and adhere to mileage planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards and warranty procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; tertiary qualification is a plus.
• At least 3 years of field service experience with technical, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to perform accurate assessments and documentation.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
