Field Service Technician – Crushing & Screening

About the role

The Field Service Technician will deliver high-quality service and technical support for Sandvik’s mobile and stationary crushing and screening equipment. Working directly on customer sites, you will help minimise downtime, coach users and ensure safe, efficient operation of the machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect and commission crushing and screening equipment at customer locations or company premises.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electro‑hydraulic, auto‑electrical, hydraulic, PLC and remote‑control systems.
• Provide technical advice on maintenance, repairs, equipment improvements and spare‑part requirements.
• Report service activities and outcomes to stakeholders using the CRM system.
• Collaborate with back‑line teams on labour planning, parts forecasting and inventory optimisation.
• Maintain tools and equipment and plan own work schedule, managing any deviations.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Trade Certificate – Millwright.
• Minimum three years hands‑on experience with crushing and screening equipment.
• Experience in fault finding, electro‑hydraulic, auto‑electrical, hydraulics, PLCs and remote‑control systems.
• Ability to work in underground mining environments and meet medical fitness requirements.
• Computer literacy, English proficiency, valid driver’s licence and personal set of tools.
