External Sales Consultant (FAIS) - Worcester

About the role

Absa is hiring an External Sales Consultant (FAIS) based in Worcester, South Africa, covering the Breede River valley area. The consultant drives sales growth (volume and value) and service delivery competitiveness by owning their performance targets, supporting collaborative sales between relationship banking, business bank and corporate bank, and building networks and relationships that generate leads and raise Absa's visibility across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver all individual performance targets for the allocated portfolio of external sales activities, including Inclusive Banking, Entry Level and Bulk Acquisition Sales in the B2C environment
• Plan and run education on Absa's value proposition to customers and support migration targets in the area
• Represent Absa at external sales engagements such as workplace banking schemes, public forums, major events and festivals
• Identify and convert leads, prospect future clients and turn them into business opportunities
• Manage assigned leads, engage existing clients on new products, services and migration strategies, and mine EVP schemes for sales and service targets
• Deliver daily sales planning, campaign management and strategic time management, with higher focus on New to Bank and New to Transact acquisition
• Understand customer segments, carry out needs analysis and resolve client queries and complaints, aiming for a customer experience score above 92%
• Act as a brand ambassador, take part in planned client visits and support peers to meet team performance
• Adhere to all policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, avoid mis-selling, and keep up to date with regulatory changes
• Prepare accurate sales, service and migration reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Banking
• Ability to build networks and relationships and to work collaboratively with colleagues across branches, business units and regions
