Retail Travel Consultant

About the role

Flight Centre is hiring a full-time, on-site Retail Travel Consultant in its Worcester store, working a rotating roster across a 7-day trade. It is a target-driven sales role where success is measured through KPIs, revenue, conversion and customer satisfaction, with commission earned on every sale.

Key responsibilities

• Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative sales conversations.
• Sell end-to-end travel solutions including flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, car hire, transfers and travel insurance.
• Build a loyal base of new and repeat customers, from simple domestic trips to complex international holidays.
• Manage multiple customers and communication channels at once (in-store, phone, email).
• Use booking systems and supplier tools to quote, upsell, book and follow up accurately and efficiently.
• Take ownership of the customer journey from first enquiry through to booking and follow-up.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer-facing, target-driven sales role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and upselling.
• Strong communication skills and confidence selling in person and over the phone.
• High attention to detail and strong computer skills, with confidence using multiple complex systems.
• International travel experience.
• Matric.
• Availability to work full-time hours, including weekends and public holidays.
