Experienced Clinical Nurse – Medical Ward

About the role

The Clinical Nurse (R/N) will join the Medical Ward at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital, delivering holistic, patient‑centred care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating assessments, care plans and interventions for diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients and families.
• Act as a clinical resource, supporting staff in documentation and care delivery.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and health professionals, advocating for optimal care.
• Coordinate with nursing management to resolve patient care issues.
• Provide emergency treatment (RESUS) and respond to urgent situations across the hospital.
• Interview patients and families to gather relevant health information and identify needs.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (R/N) qualification with current registration.
• Proven experience in a medical ward or similar acute care setting.
• Strong understanding of holistic nursing theories and person‑centred care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

Required skills

• RESUS (resuscitation) procedures.
• Advanced nursing assessment and care planning.
• Clinical documentation and patient record management.
