Events & Guest Experience Manager

About the role

The Events, Conferencing & Guest Experience Manager will lead all event‑related operations at Jozini Tiger Lodge & Spa, a 4‑star lakeside retreat in KwaZulu‑Natal. This role is a key revenue driver, responsible for delivering memorable experiences for corporate meetings, weddings, banquets and entertainment programmes for guests of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute corporate events, weddings, conferences and other functions.
• Engage with clients to capture requirements, budgets and objectives, and produce detailed proposals, timelines and run‑sheets.
• Oversee event set‑up, execution and breakdown, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to brand standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and food & beverage teams to guarantee smooth service flow.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all event and conferencing clients, building strong relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Conduct site inspections and presentations for prospective clients, handling queries, feedback and complaints promptly.
• Manage daily operations of conference and event facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate; hospitality or events management qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality with exposure to conferencing, banqueting, weddings and event coordination.
• Proven track record in revenue generation and event sales.
