Enrolled Nurse – Oncology Ward (Locum) – Pretoria

About the role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Oncology Ward on a locum basis in Pretoria. The role offers flexible shifts while allowing you to provide high‑quality care to cancer patients in a private‑healthcare setting. You will work alongside registered nurses and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and compassionate treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to oncology patients, adhering to clinical protocols.
• Assist Registered Nurses with patient assessments, chemotherapy administration, and daily care activities.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition, promptly reporting any changes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure infection‑prevention measures and patient‑safety standards are consistently applied.
• Collaborate with doctors, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to support coordinated care.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse qualification with current registration on the South African Nursing Council (SANC) register.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience; oncology experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional, compassionate, and patient‑centred attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
