Enrolled Nurse (e/n) – Medical Ward 3

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients on Medical Ward 3 at Netcare Kingsway Hospital. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the role focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and ensure proper stock management.
• Support the therapeutic, clean and safe environment, adhering to waste‑management and occupational safety standards.
• Report risks, equipment issues and maintain equipment cleanliness and storage.
• Deliver nursing care within the scope of practice, including patient assessment, care planning and evaluation.
• Supervise Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) and uphold professional conduct and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse (e/n) with registration to practice in South Africa.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and take responsibility for own actions.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care and adherence to hospital policies.

Required skills

• Competence in patient documentation and record keeping.
• Understanding of medical waste and occupational safety procedures.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and maintain equipment standards.
