About the role

Exxaro Resources is seeking an Engineering Assistant to join its Leeuwpan Coal operation in Delmas, Mpumalanga. This permanent position supports engineering maintenance and repair activities, ensuring safe and efficient mine operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with routine engineering maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain organised tool inventories and support equipment inspections.
• Provide operational support for breakdown repairs and machine greasing.
• Help with start‑up and shutdown processes following maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors, artisans, and mine personnel to uphold safety standards.

• Commitment to health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work proactively in a high‑risk mining environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with supervisors and crew.
