End User Computing Engineer

About the role

The End User Computing Engineer is the first line of support for the Lesaka Group office, delivering hands‑on deskside and remote assistance for hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and connectivity issues. The role resolves day‑to‑day incidents within agreed SLAs and escalates more complex problems to the Senior EUC Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line deskside and remote support, logging and closing tickets in the ITSM platform.
• Deploy, configure and collect laptops, desktops and peripherals, ensuring Intune enrolment and asset‑tagging.
• Maintain the on‑site IT store, monitor stock levels and keep the asset register up to date.
• Prepare ready‑to‑use devices for new employees and support device‑refresh cycles, office moves and bulk onboarding events.
• Identify and report security alerts from SentinelOne or Netskope, following the escalation run‑book.
• Capture resolution steps in the knowledge base and highlight recurring issues for root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) required; IT Diploma preferred; certifications such as CompTIA A+, MS‑900, N+, Security+ or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, help‑desk or deskside environments, with practical troubleshooting of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and basic macOS.
• Customer‑first attitude, reliability, willingness to learn and honest escalation of issues.

Required skills

• Basic macOS troubleshooting.
• Intune device enrolment and compliance management.
• Wi‑Fi, VPN client and printer configuration.
• ITSM ticketing and asset‑tracking processes.
