Electrical & Automation Engineer

About the role

Greenro Solutions is looking for an Electrical & Automation Engineer in Midrand. The engineer researches, analyses and evaluates requirements for control and instrumentation systems, and designs, develops, tests, commissions and maintains electrical, control and instrumentation systems, reviewing outsourced work.

Required profile

• Grade 12
• BTech, BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
• 5 years' experience in electrical engineering (low voltage)
• 3-5 years' experience with automation systems (PLC, HMI and SCADA) is compulsory

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of electrical system design, including MCCs and LV distribution boards
• Control and instrumentation design, and commissioning of electrical, control and instrumentation systems
• AutoCAD Electrical and electrical panel drawings (GA, SLD, equipment layout, schematic, loop drawings)
• PLC programming, SCADA and HMI design, configuration and implementation
• Soft starters and drives setup and commissioning
• Intermediate knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI products (Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB), industrial networking (Ethernet, Profinet, Modbus TCP, Modbus, fibre optics) and telemetry
• Intermediate knowledge of diesel and automatic generator starting systems and transformers
