Country Manager – Expat role in DRC

About the role

We are seeking a senior Country Manager to lead our operations at a remote mine site in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role combines strategic boardroom leadership with hands‑on operational oversight across logistics, clearing, workshop and finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams in Finance, HSE, Clearing and Workshop departments.
• Ensure fleet and equipment availability of at least 90% through effective maintenance planning.
• Own the P&L and balance sheet, enforce group financial procedures, tax compliance and monthly reporting.
• Identify and develop new business streams such as equipment handling and clearing services, supported by financial modelling and forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs and boost financial performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in logistics or mining.
• Proven track record working in the DRC or similarly remote, high‑pressure environments.
• Fluent in French and English at a professional level.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling abilities.
• Proactive, flexible leader capable of influencing stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.
