Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Operations Finance

About the role

This is a hands‑on operational finance role within a fast‑growing manufacturing business that is expanding its production capacity and modern ERP platform. The Cost Accountant will own costing, inventory control and procurement alignment, supporting production teams to improve profitability and working‑capital performance.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of inventory control, valuation and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain accurate product costing models.
• Analyse gross profit per product line and identify cost drivers.
• Align procurement with demand planning and production requirements.
• Monitor and improve stock turns and working‑capital efficiency.
• Support production with accurate costing data and drive process improvements.
• Assist in ERP optimisation and reporting enhancements.
• Provide month‑end, financial reporting and audit support.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting or related field.
• 3–7 years’ experience in cost accounting, inventory or operational finance.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of stock control and supply‑chain processes.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
