Corporate Tax Manager – UK Tax Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager with strong UK tax expertise to join our Sumer Offshore Services team in Johannesburg. The role operates in a hybrid model and focuses on delivering high‑quality tax advice to our UK hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technically accurate UK corporate tax advice and reports.
• Manage end‑to‑end advisory projects, including tax planning, restructuring, and share‑scheme advice.
• Conduct technical research and apply findings to client scenarios.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather information and ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to internal knowledge development and best‑practice documentation.
• Assist with complex compliance work, disclosures, and HMRC enquiries as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA), SAIT or equivalent (or qualified by experience).
• Strong UK corporate tax knowledge and experience.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high‑quality service.
• Excellent communication skills and highly organised with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Experience leading and developing junior team members.
