About the role
Africa Global Logistics South Africa (AGL) is hiring a permanent, full-time Packer for its contract logistics business in Johannesburg. The role covers packing, invoicing, dispatch and housekeeping, within a warehouse environment.
Key responsibilities
- Pick orders from the staging area and check them against the pick slip (AA)
- Scan items with the system (PT) and verify quantities and part numbers
- Check items for damage and pack orders so they are not damaged during transport
- Generate invoices for completed orders and attach all required documentation to cartons and shipments
- Seal outer cartons correctly with security tape and labels
- Report deviations, damages and shortages according to warehouse SOPs
- Keep the area tidy and follow all warehouse SOPs
- Target 300 lines per day and complete any other reasonable tasks asked by the supervisor or manager
Required profile
- 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse handling of the specific product
- Ability to work full time in a warehouse setting
