Construction Project Coordinator – Procurement & Logistics

About the role

The Construction Project Coordinator provides end‑to‑end administrative, procurement and logistical support to the construction management team. You will ensure projects are planned, executed and delivered efficiently while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and manage RFQs for logistics, plant, equipment, materials, security, signage and travel.
• Analyse tender responses, present findings to the construction team and senior controller.
• Coordinate site logistics, on/off‑hire equipment, and inter‑site material transfers.
• Place orders, track back‑orders, receive materials and reconcile against storage inventories.
• Collect PODs, waybills and update the P&L manager on material costs.
• Maintain asset registers, tool inventories and monthly reconciliation reports.
• Assist in preparing project budgets, cost tracking and issuing budget documents to stakeholders.
• Upload all project documentation (certificates, test results, as‑built drawings) to SharePoint.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction, logistics or procurement environments.
• Strong negotiating, organisational and relationship‑management abilities.
• Self‑starter with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
