Compliance Manager (FSCA) – Regulatory Oversight

About the role

The Compliance Manager will ensure full adherence to South African regulatory requirements, including FSCA, FAIS, FICA and POPIA, while acting as the primary liaison with the regulator. This senior position shapes compliance frameworks for a leading CFD and Forex broker.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update internal compliance policies, monitor regulatory changes and implement operational adjustments.
• Prepare and submit all required FSCA, FIC and other regulatory filings, manage inspections, queries and audits.
• Oversee AML/CFT programmes, conduct customer due‑diligence (KYC) checks and report suspicious transactions.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Compliance Monitoring Plan, conduct internal reviews and manage risk registers.
• Review marketing materials for regulatory compliance and handle breach investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in a CFD/Forex or FSCA‑regulated brokerage.
• Degree in Law, Finance, Compliance or related field; professional certifications advantageous.
• Proven direct liaison experience with the FSCA and ability to meet Fit‑and‑Proper requirements.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of FAIS, FICA, FSCA and POPIA regulations.
• Strong analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities.
• Experience with AML/CFT policies, KYC procedures and suspicious transaction reporting.
• Ability to draft and review third‑party agreements and regulatory documentation.
